Descripción
The Carmenere grape variety, pronounced CAR MEN AIR, is the lost varietal of Bordeaux, France. Mistaken for Merlot for many years, the grape was “rediscovered” and properly identified in the early 1990s. Since then, it has become the flagship grape of modern Chilean wines. Exhibiting the best qualities of three varietal grapes – the body of a Cabernet Sauvignon, the softness of a Merlot, and the spiciness of a Syrah – Carmenere is a unique grape variety and is the primary source from which our distinctive CAR MEN AIR has been created.
